Hamilton County / Region 11
Region 11 includes the following counties: Hamilton, Hancock, Madison, and Tipton. However, we are not limited in serving just those counties!! In fact, in 2024, we served families, parents, and children in 16 different counties across Central Indiana.
The house is located in Hamilton County.
PROGRAMS
Emergency Removal Support
When foster children are removed from their homes, they often go to the DCS office until placement is secure. However, The Cooper House welcomes these children and caseworkers into our home, where staff & volunteers love, care for, and meet the child’s needs during this difficult time.
Family support
The Cooper House provides family support in a variety of ways. This is tailored to meet each family's needs. This could look like (but not limited to), meeting financial, physical, and spiritual needs. We offer services to help preserve & strengthen families and to those parents working towards reunification.
Visitation Space
The Cooper House provides visitation space for parents and their children who are in foster care. It is a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where families can engage, connect, and strengthen relationships with one another. During visits, families are able to cook meals, bake treats, play board games, give baths, play outside on the swing set, put children down for naps, etc! The home is open & free of charge for this purpose.
